Bryson’s Bundles

Join us to ensure Bryson’s legacy of kindness, compassion, and community lives on across Pennsylvania.

Together, we can turn heartbreak into hope by enhancing public safety, strengthening preparedness, and empowering everyday bystanders to save lives. Each Bryson’s Bundle places lifesaving equipment in outdoor recreation spaces throughout our neighborhoods (a bright yellow, all-weather, climate-controlled, and tamper-proof enclosure housing an AED).

Donate what you can today and be part of a safer tomorrow. Every dollar makes a difference and brings us closer to the $2,500 cost of each bundle. Whether you give a preset amount or choose your own, 100% of your contribution directly funds the next Bryson’s Bundle.

Together, we’ll carry Bryson’s legacy of caring for others forward one act of kindness and one lifesaving bundle at a time.

The first Bryson’s Bundle was donated to Koons Park in Lower Paxton Township in September 2025, inspiring the Township to invest in three additional bundles in the community. Lifesaving equipment is now installed in: Koons Park (Harrisburg, PA), Brightbill Park (Harrisburg, PA), George Park (Harrisburg, PA), and Kohl Memorial Park (Harrisburg, PA).

Bryson Funk
A Legacy of Kindness

In just ten short years, Bryson left an impact that will last a lifetime. A fourth grader at Linglestown Elementary School and proud member of the Class of 2033, Bryson embodied the kind of compassion, kindness, and maturity that most take decades to develop. His was a heart that saw others first and always acted with love.

At school, Bryson could always be found lending a hand. As a Peer Buddy in the Multiple Disability Support (MDS) classroom, he volunteered his time to help students with multiple disabilities not because he had to, but because he wanted to. Teachers and classmates saw in Bryson a rare mix of patience and empathy. Whether he was reading with a friend, helping with an activity, or simply sharing a smile, Bryson made sure everyone felt seen and valued.

Outside the classroom, Bryson poured his energy into the sports he loved. He participated in competitive cheer with 717 Athletics and baseball with the Linglestown Baseball Association. His coaches and teammates knew him as a fierce competitor who led with encouragement rather than ego.

One of Bryson’s proudest moments came on June 11, 2025, when his LBA Minors Colts team clinched the championship at Koons Park. Bryson delivered an incredible performance tallying multiple hits, RBIs, and three strong innings pitched to secure the win. But what stood out most was what happened after the final out. Bryson was the first to cross the field, offering hugs and words of encouragement to the opposing team, the LBA Minors Hawks. Before celebrating with his own teammates, he stood arm-in-arm with the players who had just lost, reminding everyone what true sportsmanship looks like.

The following day, June 12, Bryson died from cardiac arrest. He was just ten years old. But in those ten years, Bryson showed the world how much difference one person can make when they lead with kindness.

Bryson’s story is one of love, empathy, and inspiration. He reminds us all to be the kind of person who helps without being asked, who cheers for others as much as for themselves, and who fills the world with light even in small moments.

In memory of Bryson, may we all strive to carry forward his spirit, to lend a hand, to be kind, to see others with understanding, and to celebrate not just victories, but the hearts that make them possible.

Bryson’s time was short, but his influence will ripple on in every act of kindness inspired by his example.
