Peer-to-Peer Support

We understand how hard it can be for both sudden cardiac arrest survivors and their loved ones to navigate this “new normal.” We suggest finding a trauma therapist that you trust who can help you work through what you’re going through.

Healing Hearts is our free, virtual online peer-to-peer support groups that are held once a month.

We offer two groups in a safe space created for sharing, listening, and supporting:
-adult survivors (second Wednesdays, 7pm EST)
-adult loved ones (first Wednesday, 7pm EST)

Our young adult survivor group (age 18-25) is starting January 2026.

If you are interested in our free peer support groups, please click on the signup button. We will then add you to the calendar invites each month. We ask that you kindly RSVP by the day of your group so that we know how many people will be participating in each group.

We hope that Healing Hearts will help you navigate the “new normal” we find ourselves in as survivors and loved ones and that you’ll spread the word to others you think might benefit from the program.

Sign Up to Attend and/or Host An In-Person Meetup

We've been holding informal peer-to-peer meetups each month in addition to our cardiac arrest survivor and loved ones online support groups. But, we wanted to make them a little more formal, though still super casual.

These in-person meetups will be "pay your own way" and can be as simple as a meetup in a local park, lunch at a restaurant, coffee at a cafe, drinks at a pub, etc. We're open to locations outside of the United States, too.

If you're interested in in-person meetups, please click here.

There's a place to indicate if you'd like to be the point of contact for an in-person meetup in your area (the more help we have, the more locations we're able to do this in).

We can't wait to see you in person. ❤️

Crisis Text Line is free, 24/7 crisis support by text message. When someone is in crisis, they can text HOME to 741741 to connect with a Crisis Counselor who will help them move from a hot moment to cool and calm. Crisis Counselors are trained volunteers who—with the support of full-time Crisis Text Line staff—use active listening, collaborative problem solving, and safety planning to help texters in their moment of crisis.

Niko Moon’s incredible team asked our Founder & President, Jill, to share her story after she spoke with him about the impact his music has had on her, the Happy Cowboy Foundation, and The Aliver Foundation.

She told Niko about her cardiac arrest and how mentally grueling it is for survivors.

This is why his foundation is so important to us- it’s going to help so many people who cannot afford mental health support.

Niko actually donated his song Better Days and every time it streams, the Happy Cowboy Foundation benefits. So, check it out and play it often. Trust us, his music will have you dancing and singing along, even on those really hard days.
