AsherStrong

Join us as we place AsherStrong outdoor AED equipment across Oregon.

Together, we can enhance public safety, strengthening preparedness, and empowering everyday bystanders to save lives. Each bundle places lifesaving equipment in outdoor recreation spaces throughout our neighborhoods (a bright yellow, all-weather, climate-controlled, and tamper-proof enclosure housing an AED).

Donate what you can today and be part of a safer tomorrow. Every dollar makes a difference and brings us closer to the $2,500 cost of each bundle. Whether you give a preset amount or choose your own, 100% of your contribution directly funds the next bundle.

Thank you,

for helping to place lifesaving AED bundles in outdoor recreation spaces in Oregon.

Donate through Zeffy by choosing from our suggested levels or enter whatever amount you’d like in the $ field. This platform does not charge us a fee for using their service, or a percentage for credit card processing so 100% of your donation will go to our mission.  When donating, Zeffy will ask you for a donation to help cover their costs as company. You do not need to donate to Zeffy. Just select ‘Other’ in the "Help Keep Zeffy Free" section instead of the percentage donation and enter “0” (see the info graphics we’ve provided).

Asher Weiler
ASHERSTRONG

On August 31, 2024, Asher was tubing with family on the Willamette River near Newberg, Oregon, when he suddenly became unconscious and unresponsive.

His family immediately sprang into action. After pulling Asher back into the boat, his mother began chest compressions, and his uncle continued CPR as they raced toward shore to meet first responders. Their quick action helped keep Asher alive until emergency crews could take over. He was transported in critical condition and later life-flighted to OHSU/Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.

Doctors credited the immediate CPR performed by Asher’s family with helping save his life. His story is a powerful reminder that in a cardiac emergency, the actions taken by bystanders in the first few minutes can make all the difference.

Today, Asher is back doing what he loves, including playing competitive high school sports. Through #AsherStrong, Asher and his family now advocates for community CPR education, helping others understand how quickly an emergency can happen, how important it is for bystanders to be ready to act, and the critical importance of AEDs being accessible to bystanders in outdoor recreation spaces.
